Symbiotic bacteria isolated from the cuticle of laboratory-reared and field-collected Xyleborus affinis inhibit growth of entomopathogenic fungi in vitro

This study aims to analyze the microbiome of X. affinis and isolated and identify bacteria capable of inhibiting entomopathogenic fungi, to determine whether these bacteria remain present regardless of the rearing environment due to their crucial role in defending the host against pathogens.
