A memory transcriptome time course reveals essential long-term memory transcription factors in Drosophila [ATAC-seq]

We have analyzed regions of accessible chromatin in adult mushroom body neurons of Drosophila melanogaster of a control genetic background using ATAC-seq. Overall design: Examination of accessible chromatin regions in the adult mushroom body of Drosophila melanogster in a control genetic background using ATAC-seq. Genetic material was extracted from 1/3rd of mushroom body nuclei isolated from pools of 50-60 fly heads in two biological replicates. Timing of material extraction corresponds to one hour after the onset of courtship training, one hour prior to the light period.
