Litchi downy blight is a destructive litchi disease caused by Phytophthora litchii, which is controlled by intensive fungicide treatments. The gene expression changes between the susceptible cultivar ('Guiwei') and the resistant cultivar ('Heiye') after the infection with this pathogen were investigated.
