PTC – HISTORIC PLANT SETTLEMENTS

It is the organisation of the “Cities and Settlements” of the Province of Arezzo, in addition to the provincial capital city, the polycentric network of the capital cities of the Municipality, the major fractions (centres) and the minor aggregates (borghi and nuclei) that have assumed, since the post-war period, urban connotations and micro-city characteristics, through the urban and building additions realised, the increased demographic weight and the provision of essential or general services and equipment. For the “Cities and Settlements” the PTC defines the general objective of ensuring the protection and enhancement of historical plant settlements, to this end, the PTC carries out, in a coherent and complementary form with similar elaborations of the PIT/PPR, the reconnaissance of the following main morphotype categories constituting the “Cities and settlements”:-the Settlements of historic plant;- the recent settlements with a prevalent residential use;- the recent settlements with a predominant productive destination;-the equipment, services, equipment, parks and greenery.”
