LGBQ Individuals on Their Pathways to Leadership: Transcripts from UK Interviews

This dataset includes 30 transcripts from interviews with LGBQ people in leadership roles across the UK. A phenomenological approach investigated what it is like to be LGBQ and a leader in the UK. Participants articulated a wide range of perspectives around the relationship between their sexualities and leadership experiences, and many took issue with an emphasis being placed on their sexualities or other minority identities in leadership. Participants engaged with questions around their roles in creating open and inclusive workplaces as minority leaders and considered the role of visibility and authenticity in advocating for diversity.
