Conservation of putative D. magna miRNAs among model species.

Each sequence was compared for its existence in human and four model species (D. pulex, M. musculus, D. melanogaster, C. elegans). Total number of each predicted sequence hit for each species were counted. In addition, total number of conserved miRNAs with D. magna were divided to total identified number miRNAs for each species were calculated.
