Transcriptome_of_the_MOE_in_odour_exposed_mice

With this study we aim to understand how does the expression in the MOE changes when mice are exposed to specific odorants. For this, we added a 1mM solution of eugenol, heptanal, acetophenone and carvone, diluted in mineral oil, to the drinking water given to the mice. Only mineral oil was added to control mice. Water was replaced twice a week. The MOE was dissected at 24 weeks of age. RNA was extracted using the Qiagen RNeasy kit using standard protocols and six control and six exposed biological replicates were multiplexed together and sequenced in four lanes on the Illumina HiSeq platform. All mice used were C57BL/6J.
