FPV daily travel

The data product consists of FPV daily personal travel phenomena belonging to the product group STVDB and the product subgroup Administrative Fact Types of STVDB. Describes roads that are important for daily journeys by car within the functionally prioritised road network. The Swedish Transport Administration has taken the initiative to identify which roads are most important for daily passenger journeys from a national and regional perspective. We do this in consultation with the county planners in the first place. The data product is part of the functional priority road network (FPV) and will serve as a planning basis for: • Along which roads it is important to safeguard/develop accessibility for daily passenger journeys by car • Where priority should be given to actions based on the four-step principle • Assessment of accessibility in spatial planning and other planning situations The data product will facilitate the work of clarifying the approach we have in order to safeguard and develop accessibility “long with” the roads for daily passenger journeys by car. With this data, we can avoid measures that negatively affect accessibility along the roads from a national and regional perspective and take better responsibility for the management of the investments made. It also helps us prioritise development where we get the best benefit.
