Investigation of the relationship between request for penile enlargement, body image, and psychological profiles in men with normal penile size: a cross-sectional study

This repository contains the full data package for the cross-sectional study "Investigation of the relationship between request for penile enlargement, body image, and psychological profiles in men with normal penile size" (Untan, Demirlegen, Aldemir). The study comprises 90 adult men presenting for penile enlargement at a single private andrology practice in Istanbul, Turkiye, stratified by COPS-P score into three a priori groups: Normal body image (n=31), Small Penis Anxiety (n=30), and Penile Dysmorphic Disorder (n=29). Variables include demographic, anatomical, and psychometric measures (COPS-P, HADS-Anxiety, HADS-Depression, IIEF-5). To facilitate use across statistical platforms, the same de-identified dataset is provided in six interoperable formats: Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), comma-separated values (.csv), tab-separated values (.tsv), JSON (.json), IBM SPSS (.sav), and Stata (.dta). Direct identifiers have been removed; surnames and any middle names in the patient identifier column have been masked with asterisks proportional to character count. The repository also includes the official ethics committee approval document. The study was approved by the Non-Interventional Clinical Research Ethics Committee of Istanbul Medipol University (decision number 1399, dated 13 November 2025) and was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
