Dataset and research materials: Longitudinal study on social acceptance of biorefineries in the Community of Madrid (2022-2024)

This repository contains the complete dataset and methodological materials from the longitudinal study on social acceptance of biorefineries in the Community of Madrid (2022-2024), developed within the eCOMCIENCIA project (PID2021-127019OB-I00) and the Community of Madrid projects BIVALIA-CM (TEC-2024/BIO-177) and BIOTRES-CM (S2018/EMT-4344). It provides detailed information on public attitudes and acceptance of sustainability, biofuels, and biorefineries in the Madrid region.

The repository includes:

Detailed methodological document with theoretical foundation and statistical analysis procedures

Complete questionnaire with 23 items (Spanish and English versions)

Full dataset with 1,000 valid surveys distributed across two waves (October 20-31, 2022, and November 1-5, 2024) in .csv and .sav formats

Codebook with description of all variables

.spv files with statistical analysis outputs for each questionnaire item

Detailed analysis reports by thematic block (sociodemographic, sustainability attitudes, waste separation and treatment perceptions, biofuels acceptance, and biorefineries acceptance)

The data was collected through a CAWI survey targeting residents of Madrid aged 18 and older and has been anonymized to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. This material constitutes a valuable resource for researchers interested in social acceptance of energy technologies, renewable energies, and sustainable energy transition.
