NRS-9883 | Registers of records (Subject registers of correspondence files)

The earliest register in this series dates from 1888-1916. The entries record paper number, subject matter, and file movements. Those for the years 1917 to 1923 are divided alphabetically by subject between A-L and M-Z. They have been arranged by subject classification (ie. Acts and bills, Advertising) and record file number, subject of the file, and file movement. The files have not survived. The first two volumes have a numerical index in the front which records paper numbers (annual single running number) and a brief description of the subject.(6/12475-77). 3 vols.
