In order to enhance our understanding of the complex association between genetic and ecology of M. panniformis, we used the third generation sequence to obtain the whole genome. In addition, repeat sequences and genes were annotated. Several databases were used to conduct the similarity research to predict function of protein coding genes. Further, we compared M. panniformis and other relative species, to figure out the evolution position and selection pressure information. Self-defense system, synthesis of microcystin and methylation were also analysised.
