Draft genome sequence of an extremely boron-tolerant novel bacterium Cytobacillus boraciitolerans sp. nov., isolated from sewage sludge. Cytobacillus sp. NCCP-133

A strain NCCP-133 was isolated from sewage sludge sample collected from pond of waste water treatment plant at Islamabad, Pakistan. This strain was found extremely tolerant to toxic concentrations of boron, even more than any previous reported boron-tolerant bacteria. 16S rRNA gene sequence showed highest similarity with Cytobacillus oceanisediminis. However, DDH and ANI values were found less than the threshold to describe any new species, which confirmed its taxonomic position as novel bacterium.
