To Play or To Be Played: An Analysis of Dark Patterns in Mobile Games in Brazil

This data set contains: A spreadsheet with the overall results and, for each game category, the prevalence of Dark Patterns identified in 48 popular mobile games: “Games DP Database.xlsx.” Two documents presenting the ontology of DPs in games proposed by Zhang et al. (2025), along with detailed descriptions of 77 identified DP cases: “DP Cases.pdf” and “Ontology and DP Cases.xlsx.” Two videos illustrating deceptive behaviors observed in the mobile game Truco Vamos: “Truco Vamos 1.mp4” and “Truco Vamos 2.mp4.”
