This dataset supports the research project titled "International Cooperation between UFABC-CNRS/L2S in Control of Distributed Energy Resources for Smart Grids". It provides comprehensive resources for the design, simulation, and experimental validation of advanced control techniques applied to a bidirectional battery charger for electric vehicles (EVs) , serving as a critical distributed energy resource in Smart Grids. Specifically, the dataset includes: MATLAB code (Delay_comp_MPC_LCL_Alpha_Beta.m): This script defines system parameters, configures the Continuous Control Set Model Predictive Control (CCS-MPC) algorithm, performs stability analysis, and initiates the Simulink simulation model. Simulink model (MPC_LCL_IAB_Comp_Delay.slx): This model implements the grid-connected converter with an LCL filter and the CCS-MPC controller, enabling the generation of simulated results presented in the associated research report. Raw Experimental Data (CSV files): Data_Power.csv: Contains active and reactive power measurements injected into the grid. Data_Grid_voltage_current.csv: Contains grid current and voltage measurements. Data_V2G_test.csv: Contains DC link voltage and current measurements from the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) operation test. Oscilloscope Screenshots (PNG/JPG images): Oscilloscope_Print_Power.png: Visualizes active and reactive power waveforms. Oscilloscope_Print_Grid_voltage_current.png: Visualizes grid current and voltage waveforms. Oscilloscope_Print_V2G_test.jpg: Visualizes DC link voltage and current waveforms during the V2G test. This material facilitates transparency, reproducibility, and further research in power electronics control systems, particularly for distributed energy resources within Smart Grids. The experimental results, including Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and Integral Square Error (ISE) metrics, validate the effectiveness of the proposed CCS-MPC in maintaining power quality and achieving fast transient responses.
