UAV Mapping flights of the outer area of DRZ

This dataset contains top-down drone images of the outdoor area of DRZ captured on multiple flight days. Data are available for the following acquisition dates: 2024-06-11: RGB orthophotos only, but provided in multiple dataset-size variants 2025-10-22: RGB orthophotos and corresponding thermal orthophotos. 2025-10-31: RGB orthophotos and corresponding thermal orthophotos. 2026-01-28: RGB orthophotos and corresponding thermal orthophotos under different environmental conditions, including: snow cover (~3 cm) active fire sources (gas burner area and campfire) artificial fog (fog machine) All imagery was acquired using a DJI Matrice 30T UAV platform. Each photo includes image metadata, including: GNSS/GPS information (latitude, longitude, and altitude above mean sea level), Camera parameters (manufacturer, model, aperture, exposure time, and related settings), Acquisition timestamp The images were collected and used in the context of the EU project CREXDATA. The dataset can be used, for example, to generate digital surface models (DSMs) and 3D reconstructions with tools such as WebODM, as well as to train neural radiance fields (NeRFs).
