资源简介:
Raw data from eight autonomous phase sensitive radar (ApRES) installations on Totten Glacier, East Antarctica, and processed basal melt rates for the four sites on the floating ice shelf (TI01, TI02, TI04, TI05).Site Lat Lon Installation RetrievalTI01 -67.333 114.019 26-Nov-2016 20-Dec-2017TI02 -67.234 114.469 16-Nov-2016 09-Jan-2019TI03 -67.449 113.587 03-Dec-2016 03-Oct-2018TI04 -67.408 114.106 03-Dec-2016 24-Dec-2018TI05 -67.332 114.354 25-Nov-2016 08-Jan-2019TI06 -67.544 113.695 03-Dec-2016 24-Dec-2018TI07 -67.744 113.779 24-Dec-2018 08-Jan-2019TI08 -67.576 113.915 23-Dec-2018 29-Jan-2019ApRES phase-sensitive radar is a low-power, light-weight instrument developed in a collaboration between BAS and University College London. It is a 200-400 MHz FMCW radar, with a 1-second chirp, run by controller. Each radar was set to produce a burst of 30 chirps every 1.5 hrs, and a config file with radar settings is provided with each dataset. Each ApRES was co-located with a GPS.Files:*.dat - binary files containing raw dataconfig.ini - config file containing all radar settings used for each siteLog.txt - log file from each instrumentThe ApRES processing scripts are available at the following repository: https://github.com/irenavankova/ApRES_processing. Limited Matlab scripts are provided here to open the raw data.Command: f=fmcw_load('filename.DAT')Data structure:Variable name Unit DescriptionNattenuators - Number of attenuation settings used (1 or 2)Attenuator_1 dB RF Attenuator value 1Attenuator_2 dB RF Attenuator value 2ChirpsInBurst - Number of chirps in burstTimeStamp day Time of first chirp (Matlab date format)Temperature_1 C Instrument temperature 1Temperature_2 C Instrument temperature 2BatteryVoltage V Battery voltageBurst - Number of burst in fileFileFormat - Identifies file format from different equipment versionsvif V VoltagechirpTime day Time of chirp (Matlab date format)filename - FilenameSamplesPerChirp - Number of samples per chirpfs Hz Sampling frequencyf0 Hz Start frequencyK rad/s/s Chirp gradient (200MHz/s)f1 Hz Stop frequencyB Hz Bandwidthfc Hz Centre frequencyer - Material permittivityci m/s Velocity in materiallambdac m Centre wavelengtht s Sampling time (relative to first sample)f Hz Frequency stamp for sample
