Correlations between performance in physical tests and simulated work tasks.

Correlations were analysed with Spearman’s rank correlation coefficients. Investigated work tasks were: Cutting holes in the roof for fire gas ventilation (Cutting), Carrying hose baskets in a staircase (Stairs), Hose pulling (Pulling), Demolition at or after a fire (Demolition), Victim rescue (Rescue) and Carrying hose baskets over terrain (Terrain).OBLA: Onset of blood lactate accumulation, LT: Lactate threshold.
