High-resolution stable oxygen and carbon isotope data from IODP Site 342-U1403, Newfoundland Margin@en

This dataset lists the results of stable oxygen and carbon isotope measurements (in ‰ VPDB) from International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Site U1403 off Newfoundland (~40°N, 51°W; 4944 m water depth, Expedition 342, NW Atlantic Ocean). Stable isotope analysis were carried out on specimens of N. truempyi. Stable isotopes were analyzed using a ThermoFinnigan MAT253Plus gas source mass spectrometer equipped with a Thermo Fisher Scientific KIEL IV carbonate device. Values are reported relative to the VPDB through the analysis of an in-house standard (Solnhofen limestone) calibrated to IAEA-603.本数据集收录了来自西北大西洋342航次纽芬兰外海U1403国际大洋发现计划（International Ocean Discovery Program, IODP）站位的稳定氧、碳同位素测量结果，测量单位为‰ VPDB（维也纳佩德贝箭石标准，Vienna Pee Dee Belemnite）；该站位坐标约为40°N，51°W，水深4944米。本次稳定同位素分析针对N. truempyi的标本开展，测试使用配备赛默飞世尔科技（Thermo Fisher Scientific）KIEL IV碳酸盐制样装置的ThermoFinnigan MAT253Plus气源质谱仪完成。所有同位素值均通过经IAEA-603校准的内部标准物（索恩霍芬灰岩，Solnhofen limestone）的分析，相对于VPDB进行报告。
