He is sitting on a third striped blanket facing straight ahead with his eyes turned to the left. He is wearing a three-piece suit and striped shirt with a bandana. He has a cap on his head. He has a goatee and mustache, and long sideburns. His left hand is holding the hooked handle of a staff or rod. Both hands lay on his lap. A tasseled ribbon hanging from the left breast of his vest reads "Charlie, Head War Chief, Hoalappi[?...]".

本件藏品为约1900年亚利桑那州金曼（Kingman）的沃拉派（Walapai）印第安警察查理上尉的肖像照。其身后悬挂两条条纹印第安毛毯；他坐在第三条条纹毛毯上，面朝正前方，双眼望向左侧。他身着三件套西装与条纹衬衫，脖颈间系有班丹纳方巾（bandana），头戴帽子，留有山羊胡与八字胡，鬓发修长。左手握持一根带弯钩手柄的权杖或长杆，双手搭于膝头。其马甲左胸处悬挂的带流苏饰带上印有文字："Charlie, Head War Chief, Hoalappi[?...]"。
