资源简介:
The Mangōpare Sensor Programme consists of a network of 300 sensors, deployed on more than 250 vessels throughout Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond, that measure the temperature and pressure of the upper 1000 m of the ocean. Then sensor network provides subsurface, near real-time monitoring of ocean temperature by partnering with commercial fishing vessels, researchers, and citizen scientists to deploy sensors during their routine operations. Vessel owners volunteer to provide anonymous data publicly for use by the broader ocean community.
The sensor network provides more than one million measurements per month, providing national temperature coverage of coastal and shelf areas. The majority of sensor deployments occur with the New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone, but deployments may occur anywhere in the global ocean. Data undergo automated quality control before being made available via the Moana Project THREDDS server in near real-time: http://thredds.moanaproject.org:6443/thredds/catalog/moana/Mangopare/catalog.html
For more information on the quality control prodecures, please see the github repository containing the quality control code: https://github.com/metocean/moana-qc
Note that new versions of this dataset will be released as quality control procedures, processing, and/or metadata updates occur.
The Mangōpare Sensor Programme was developed, with technology partner ZebraTech, Ltd, as part of the Te Tiro Moana ("Eyes on the Ocean") theme of the Moana Project (www.moanaproject.org).
At this time, only a sample file is provided within the Zenodo reference, due to the large number of files in the dataset. Please access the full dataset at the link above.
