Metagenomic analysis Kavart and Kapan, Artsvanik tailing (Syunik Region, Armenia)

This study used molecular analysis to describe the bacterial community structures in AMD and tailing samples from Syunik Province, Armenia. For the first time, a metagenomic approaches were used to investigate the microbial composition of Kavart and Kapan AMD as well as the Artsvanik tailing with the aim of revealing the main taxa and assessing the potential of gene sources. Thus, it is critical to illuminate the distribution characteristics of heavy metals resistance genes and their interactions with bacterial community and environmental factors in acid mine drainage (AMD) and tailing samples.
