This project provides the genome assembly of Rattus norvegicus, common name Norway rat, based on the mRatNor1 sample provided by Melinda Dwinell/Mary Shimoyama. The assembly presents the alternate haplotype and is provided by the Wellcome Sanger Institute and Cambridge University team (https://www.sanger.ac.uk/science/collaboration/darwin-tree-life-project) of the Darwin Tree of Life project (https://www.darwintreeoflife.org/).
