eLabFTW export of elabftw.nielscautaerts.xyz instance

This dataset is a .zip export containing all the "items/resources" from my eLabFTW instance which was hosted from 2020-2025 at elabftw.nielscautaerts.xyz. No "experiments" were contained in the instance, so this zip contains all data stored in the instance. eLabFTW is a free and open source electronic lab notebook (ELN) application. I used it from early 2020 to August 2021 to document the experimental work performed in the context of my post-doc research at the Max-Planck-Institute for Iron research (currently Max-Planck-Institute for Sustainable Materials). The work concerns transmission electron microscopy (TEM) investigations on various exotic materials (ZnO bicrystals, ion-irradiated steels, refractory high entropy alloys, high entropy carbides, and hard magnets), as well as the focussed ion beam (FIB) sample preparation. With the limited tools available in the eLabFTW software at the time (in-line links to other resources, images, file uploads), I tried to create a truly linked, structured, digital representation of my work. I modeled my work using the following main categories: Sample: a physical piece to investigate or make child samples from. I tracked their physical location (sample box, drawer, ...) and provenance (which was the parent sample). Storage-vessel: a box or container for a sample Procedure: a protocol, a series of steps to perform an experiment or calibrate an instrument Instrument: an apparatus for measurement or sample preparation Experiment-session: a session at the microscope or in the lab, describing what I did Dataset: a dataset collected during a session. I stopped using these halfway because managing all these links was tedious; instead I attached data directly to experiments Work described in this ELN relates to a number of publications and other datasets, linked below. This dataset has a number of known issues: The data was migrated multiple times between physical servers. This involved data exports and imports, which resulted in creation dates of items being unreliable. Links between entities were maintained manually by myself, which involved substantial effort but also incurred multiple errors and issues of oversight. Many Experiment-Session entries link to large datasets (files) stored on my personal network-attached-storage (NAS) Samba drive. These links are now meaningless. Since some datasets, particularly 4D-STEM datasets, are extremely large (200+ GB), not all datasets are publicly available. However, at the time of writing, all datasets are still privately available, and can be provided upon request. To reduce the size of direct attachments due to limited available storage on the cloud VM on which the instance was hosted, images were severely downscaled. Full scale raw images were/are stored on the NAS. To restore the dataset and view it in the eLabFTW interface, this zip file should be importable by another eLabFTW instance. The export was created from an eLabFTW instance with version 4.4.3 and a MySQL database version 3.7.0. As the instance was no longer actively used by myself, cost money to keep running, and was a maintenance burden, it was shutdown in favor of archiving a static data export here.
