A fast, precise, in-vivo method for micron-level 3D models of corals using dental scanners

The use of intra-oral dental scanning technology for the 3D scanning and model building of juvenile coral colonies was investigated.Individual corals were scanned and measurements of volume and surface area were calculated, as well as the time it took to scan and build the models.This collection includes a standard operating procedure workflow, 3D Objects, and csv + code.本研究探讨了口腔内牙科扫描技术（intra-oral dental scanning technology）在幼年珊瑚群体三维扫描与模型构建中的应用。研究人员对单个珊瑚进行扫描，并计算其体积、表面积以及扫描与模型构建的耗时。本数据集包含标准作业流程（Standard Operating Procedure）工作流、3D对象（3D Objects），以及逗号分隔值（CSV）格式数据与配套代码。
