Reconciled Mass Balance of the Northwest Greenland Ice Sheet from 1972 to 2024

This dataset contains mass balance data for the Northwest sector of the Greenland Ice Sheet from 1972 to 2024 and data to reproduce figures from the associated publication. The dataset consists of: Mass balance solution derived from CryoSat-2 satellite radar altimetry from 2010 to 2024 (NW_Greenland_altimetry_mass_balance_solution.nc) Mass balance derived from CryoSat-2 and the input-output estimate from Mouginot et al. (2019) for the different glacier basins of the sector between 2010 and 2019 (NW_Greenland_altimetry_iom_dmdt_basin_2010_2019.csv) Mass balance solution derived from GRACE and GRACE-FO satellite gravimetry from 2002 to 2024 (Greenland_gravimetry_mass_balance_solution_TUDresden.nc) Annual mass balance computed over hydrological years from the combination of altimetry, input-ouput and gravimetry estimates and the partitioning of mass trends between surface mass balance and ice dynamics (NW_Greenland_annual_mass_balance_partitioned_1972_2024.csv)
