STUDENT-CENTERED APPROACHES TO IMPROVING INDEPENDENT LEARNING SKILLS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Independent learning has become a central requirement of modern higher education because students are expected to search, analyze, apply and evaluate information autonomously. The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of student-centered approaches in improving independent learning skills among university students. The article analyzes pedagogical strategies such as individual learning plans, reflective tasks, project-based activities, formative feedback and digital resources. The findings show that student-centered instruction increases responsibility, motivation, self-regulation and the quality of independent academic work.
