Lange et al. consists of 11 files generated as part of this work and used to generate several of the figures of this paper: - Fig1_Fit_Vincendon2010.txt is a 271 x 2 table of floats in ASCII format containing the solar longitude (°) (first column) and the maximum latitudinal extent (°) of CO2 ice in the Southern Hemisphere on 30° pole-facing slope at a given Ls (second column) predicted by Vincendon et al. (2010). - Fig_1_Fit_co2frost_withoutssi.txt is a 271 x 2 table of floats in ASCII format containing the solar longitude (°) (first column) and the maximum latitudinal extent (°) of CO2 ice in the Southern Hemisphere on 30° pole-facing slope at a given Ls (second column) predicted by our model, without subsurface ice. - Fig_1_Fit_co2frost_withssi.txt is a 271 x 2 table of floats in ASCII format containing the solar longitude (°) (first column) and the maximum latitudinal extent (°) of CO2 ice in the Southern Hemisphere on 30° pole-facing slope at a given Ls (second column) predicted by our model, with subsurface ice. - Fig2_CompTsurfFlux.txt is a 7909 x 5 table of floats in ASCII format containing the solar longitude (°) (first column, ranging from 0° to 360°, resolution:0.0424°), the solar flux (W/m^2) on a 30° south facing slopes at 25°S computed with the 1D model (2nd column); the surface temperature (K) on a 30° south facing slopes at 25°S computed with the 1D model (3rd column); the solar flux (W/m^2) on a 30° south facing slopes at 25°S computed with the 3D model with the sub-grid slope parameterization (4th column); the surface temperature (K) on a 30° south facing slopes at 25°S computed with the 3D model with the sub-grid slope parameterization (5th column) - Fig2_CompTsurfFlux.txt is a 21 x 4810 table of floats in ASCII format containing: * First row: the altitude (km) * Last line: the solar longitude (°) * Else: the difference of atmospheric temperature (K) above a 30° pole-facing slope between the 1D model and 3D model - Fig3_ssi_flat.txt is a 49 x 65 table of floats in ASCII format containing the ice table depth (m) beneath a flat surface derived using the current near-surface humidity (x-axis: longitude: -180° -> + 180°; y-axis: latitude: -90° -> + 90°). -1 is for no subsurface ice. - Fig3_ssi_slope.txt is a 49 x 65 table of floats in ASCII format containing the ice table depth (m) beneath a 30° pole-facing slope derived using the current near-surface humidity (x-axis: longitude: -180° -> + 180°; y-axis: latitude: -90° -> + 90°). -1 is for no subsurface ice. ==== Supplementary === - Fig_S2_subsidence.txt is a 36 x 49 table of floats in ASCII format containing: * First row: the altitude (km) * Last line: the latitude (°N) * Else: the atmospheric temperature (K) above a flat surface computed by the 3D model - Fig_S3_RelativeFIR.txt is a 7903 x 3 table of floats in ASCII format containing the solar longitude (°) (first column, ranging from 0° to 360°, resolution:0.0424°); the relative difference of infrared flux (1) computed by the 1D and the 3D model on a 30° pole facing slope at 37.5°S (2nd column); the relative difference of infrared flux (1) computed by the 1D and the 3D model on a 30° pole facing slope at 45°S (3rd column) - FigS5_ssi_flat_triplehumidity.txt is a 49 x 65 table of floats in ASCII format containing the ice table depth (m) beneath a flat surface derived using the current near-surface humidity (x-axis: longitude: -180° -> + 180°; y-axis: latitude: -90° -> + 90°). -1 is for no subsurface ice. - FigS5_ssi_slope_triplehumidity.txt is a 49 x 65 table of floats in ASCII format containing the ice table depth (m) beneath a 30° pole-facing slope derived using the current near-surface humidity (x-axis: longitude: -180° -> + 180°; y-axis: latitude: -90° -> + 90°). -1 is for no subsurface ice.
