This dataset is a Triassic ammonoid dataset for the Mount Qomolangma region, which systematically records core data of major ammonoid taxa from the Triassic period in this area.

The Triassic strata in the Himalayas are well-preserved with abundant ammonoids, and have been extensively studied, making it one of the world's key regions for Triassic ammonoid-bearing stratigraphic research.

Mount Qomolangma (abbreviated as Everest) is the main peak of the Himalayas, and the highest mountain in both China and the world. It is situated on the China-Nepal border: its northern slope falls within Dingri County, Shigatse Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, China (the western slope is located in Zhaxizong Township, Dingri County, while the eastern slope is in Qudang Township, Dingri County, where the Everest Base Camp is situated), and its southern slope lies in northern Nepal. It is not only the highest peak in China and the world, but also the core of the Qomolangma National Nature Reserve spanning four counties in China and the Nepal National Park.

The original data of this dataset was digitized from the monograph *Scientific Expedition Reports of the Mount Qomolangma Region: Paleontology (Volume 3)*. It covers 231 species belonging to 111 genera of Triassic ammonoids, which are assigned to three suborders, fourteen superfamilies, and 47 families or subfamilies. This dataset mainly introduces the terminology of ammonoid sutures used in the literature and their basic developmental patterns, among other contents.

This dataset provides fundamental data for research on the Mount Qomolangma region, and holds reference value for studies in related fields.
