"The DNVF provides: (1) a large, systematically coded corpus that covers the main dimensions of nonverbal behavior \u2013facial expression, gesture, posture, body movement, interpersonal distance, orientation, and physical contact\u2013; (2) alignment of behavioral annotation with the identification of underlying verbal communicative intentions; (3) temporal stratification across scenes from two distinct periods (1950s and 2000s), supporting diachronic comparisons of cinematic conventions; (4) incorporation of gender as a core analytical variable. This resource advances empirical, context-sensitive research on nonverbal communication in film and provides a foundation for computational approaches to embodied interaction analysis. "
