资源简介:
This collection comprises images from an archaeological evaluation at Yorkshire Energy Park, Hull Road, Hedon, East Riding of Yorkshire. Work was carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd Durham in October 2022. Archaeological trial trenching was required within Reserved Matters Area 1 (RMA1) in advance of the proposed Yorkshire Energy Park (YEP). This phase of archaeological evaluation was planned to comprise 25 trenches (22 measuring 2m by 30m and three measuring 2m by 15m), positioned to provide a suitable sample of the RMA1 area. Due to the presence of a high voltage cable running E/W along the southern part of the site, Trenches 15-18 had to be abandoned. Three phases of activity were encountered during the evaluation: Phase 1: Superficial geology; Phase 2: Post-medieval subsoil and Phase 3: Modern (remains relating to the former speedway and topsoil). No features of archaeological significance were recorded within any of the evaluation trenches.
