According to the Brazilian National Association of Biosafety (ANBio), nosocomial infections are responsible for more than 100,000 deaths in Brazil every year. In the context of hospital treatments, health-acquired conditions (HACs) are undesirable complications that may follow these medical procedures, whose recovery takes place at the hospital site. In this context, our study included an analysis of 12 internal and 10 external surface areas of the Hospital das Clinicas de Ribeirao Preto Medical School (HCRP) by High-Resolution 16S rRNA Profiling.
