16S rRNA gene sequences from the v3 subunit were obtained from the gastric chamber, intestine, and hepetopancreas of white shrimp fed different protein sources. Animal handling and bioassay were performed at the Faculty of Marine Sciences, Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Mexico. DNA extraction was performed at the Autonomous University of Baja California. Finally, sequencing was carried out at CIAD-Mazatlan Academic Unit in Aquaculture and Environmental Management.Objective To evaluate the variations of the gut microbiota in the white shrimp Penaeus vannamei fed with different animal and vegetal ingredients.
