Non-metallic extraction and its socioeconomic impact in the rural area of a district of the province of Chiclayo, 2025

This study analyzes the impact of non-metallic extraction on the socioeconomic development of a rural area in the province of Chiclayo in the year 2025. This research is framed in SDG No. 8: Decent work and economic growth. A quantitative approach, a non-experimental design of a basic type and cross-sectional section was used. The population was made up of 456 inhabitants of the town center "Las Canteras" and a survey was applied to 210 people selected through stratified probabilistic sampling. The instruments were validated by experts, obtaining a Cronbach's alpha of 0.805 and 0.809. The results show that there is no significant relationship between non-metallic extraction activity and local socioeconomic development, which shows the absence of tangible benefits in employment, income or quality of life.
