<p>This layer depicts the boundaries of ambulance service areas within the state of Vermont. The following fields provide additional information for each service provider coverage area (NOTE: this information is not available for providers outside the State of Vermont):</p><p><strong>Service Name</strong> – Service provider coverage area name<br /><strong>Certification Level</strong> – Certification level of service provider<br /><strong>Full Address</strong> – Service provider full address<br /><strong>Street 1</strong> – Service provider primary street address<br /><strong>Street 2</strong> – Service provider secondary street address<br /><strong>City</strong> – Service provider town/city<br /><strong>State</strong> – Service provider state<br /><strong>Zip Code</strong> – Service provider zip code<br /><strong>Total Transports</strong> – Total transports completed by service provider<br /><strong>Percent No Transports</strong> – Percentage of calls that didn’t result in ambulance transport to a medical facility. Calculated from 911 volume.<br /><strong>Average Reimbursement Per Transports</strong> – Average reimbursement (in U.S. dollars) per transport from all payers.<br /><strong>Municipal Cost Per Person</strong> – Cost (in U.S. dollars) per person in each town within the service provider coverage area. Calculated based on town contributions to ambulance service.<br /><strong>Cost Per Call</strong> – Cost (in U.S. dollars) per call.<br /><strong>Coverage Area Town (1-17)</strong>: Indicates the town/city covered by the service provider. In towns with overlapping services, coverage area was assigned to the provider with the largest geographic area or servicing the greatest number of residents.</p><p><strong>Disclaimer</strong>: While efforts were made to verify data with service leaders, some information had to be estimated due to unavailable records.
