York University Soil Sample Data, District of Cochrane, Ontario, Canada

This spreadsheet contains soil sample data (at the subplot and site level) corresponding to samples extracted via field campaigns for York University during September 2018, August 2019 and August-September 2021 in the District of Cochrane in northern Ontario, Canada.<br>Soil properties consist of total carbon, carbon-to-nitrogen ratio, clay component, organic matter, and bulk density. These samples were obtained principally from the 5-15 cm depth layer of mineral soil. Organic matter was not assessed for samples collected during 2018, and clay component information was incomplete for some samples obtained during 2018 and 2019. Also noted at each subplot and site were the land cover type and observed dominant tree species.
