VPRS 14782 Contract Registers

This series consists of contract ledgers created by Yarram Sewerage Authority (VA 4728).This series registered and summarized contracts let by the Authority. Section 251 of the Water Act 1890 (No. 1156), and similar provisions in later Water Acts stated that contract registers were to specify the several works to be done and the materials to be furnished and the prices to be paid for the same and the times within which the said works were to be completed and the said materials to be furnished.本系列档案由亚勒姆污水处理管理局（Yarram Sewerage Authority，档案编号VA 4728）编制的合同台账构成。该系列对该局签订的各类合同进行了登记与汇总。1890年《水务法》（第1156号法案）第251条，以及后续颁布的《水务法》中的类似条款均规定，合同登记簿需明确载明待实施的各项工程、需供应的各类材料、对应付款金额，以及前述工程的完工时限与前述材料的供应时限。
