French children signing up on social media for the first time with help or alone 2020

When French children between the ages of 10 and 17 were asked if they had created their first social media account alone or with the help of someone else when they did it for the first time, the majority of children aged 10 to 14 reported having done it with the help of an adult. For the age group 15 to 17, difference between the children who did it on their own and those who had help from a parent was not as great as for the younger group. When the parents of children were asked the same question, the youngest were more supervised by adults for their first time creating a social network account.
