The invention relates to a cutting tool for arrangement on a cylindrical drive shaft (2). The cutting tool (1) has a continuous receiving opening (3) for receiving the drive shaft (2). A central axis (50) runs through the receiving opening (3) and， when the cutting tool (1) is mounted on the drive shaft (2)， corresponds to an axis of rotation (40) of the cutting tool (1). The receiving opening (3) is delimited by a peripheral wall (4)， the peripheral wall (4) having at least three contact projections (11， 12， 13， 14， 15， 16， 17) for contacting the drive shaft (2) in sections. At least one of the at least three contact projections (11， 12， 13， 14， 15， 16， 17) is at different distances from its two contact projections (11， 12， 13， 14， 15， 16， 17) adjacent in the circumferential direction (60) (i.e. 1， d2， d3， d4， d5， d6， d7) on.
