Volusia County Conservation areas. This layer represents the total acreage of Conservation Lands within Volusia County, calculated using a Python-based geoprocessing workflow. The process involves dissolving all Conservation Lands into a single unified dataset, removing hydrology features (such as lakes, rivers, and wetlands) through an erase operation, and calculating the resulting land area to determine total acreage.By excluding hydrologic features, this dataset provides a more accurate representation of upland conservation acreage, supporting clearer analysis of preserved terrestrial land resources.
