This is a de novo reference genome for the stick insect species Timema knulli. This was sequenced specifically to understand host plant adaptation and the role of chromosomal inversion in adaptation in Timema. The genome will also facilitate ongoing work in Timema more generally on the ecology and evolution of these species.
