3D-models of the loose rock in Lower Saxony – Rotenburg Nord

Based on the data from the drilling database Niedersachsen (http://www.lbeg.niedersachsen.de/karten_daten_publikationen/bohrdatenbank/bohrdatenbank-niedersachsen-647.html), a hydrogeological 3D model was created at the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) near the town of Rotenburg an der Wümme. In total, the model depicts the subsurface in 13 geological units as far as tertiary. The layer sequence includes the deposits of the Elster, Saale and Vistula cold periods up to the most recent deposits of the Holocene.
