Data for "Global distribution of microwhip scorpions (Arachnida: Palpigradi)"

Occurrences used in the analysis (Occurrence_points.csv) and dataset for calculating the species-people correlation (Sampling_bias.csv). Note that a curated distribution database of palpigrades will be published in an associated data paper (Souza et al., in preparation).
Both database are semicolon-delimited (;) csv tables.
Variables explanation:
GenSp = Genus and species;
GenSp2_clean = Cleaned Genus and species as used in the analysis;
Ecology = either soil- or cave-dwelling; see main text for details
Alien = is the occurrence referring to an human-transported record? Note that all occurrence labelled as Aline = "yes" have been excluded for the analysis.
Locality = Verbatim locality;
Country = Country of the locality;
Continent = Continent of the locality;
x & y = WGS84 decimal degrees coordinates.
