We used paired end Illumina Mi-Seq sequencing of 16S rRNA and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) gene amplicons to examine the bacterial and fungal communities in these samples. Our results indicated that there was slightly more abundant bacterial div. microbial communities in the rhizosphere and tissues of diseased and healthy cherry trees

资源简介:
Cherry plantations, located in Bai Lu Yuan, Shaanxi Province, China, were chosen as sampling sites. The healthy orchard (about 2.5 acres) was located in Long Wan village, where the incidence of "black pimple" disease was almost zero. The diseased orchard (about 14 acres) was located in the cherry standard demonstration orchard of Xi Tang village, where the incidence of "black pimple" disease was more than 90%. The two cherry orchards were about 10 km apart in distance. The soil type in both orchards was loess, with a pH of 6.8-7.5. The test soils and tissues were collected from the Red light variety of cherry trees that were approximately 6 years old in July 2014. Healthy rhizosphere soils were obtained from five samples in the healthy orchard (J1-J4, J6), and diseased rhizosphere soils were collected from five samples in the diseased orchard(B1-B5).Healthy tissues were obtained from five healthy cherry trees in the diseased orchard (JZ1-JZ5), and four samples were also taken from diseased tissues of cherry trees with symptoms of "black pimple" disease in the diseased orchard (BZ5, BZ7, BZ8 and BZ10). Samples were collected in sterile containers and immediately transported to the laboratory, where they were stored at 4°C.
