Two of the T-cell hybridomas (AS91, 12-4.4) responded more strongly to a mutated epitope bearing the change R14E. Four other hybridomas (AS150, 12-4.1, PCR1-10, I.29) responded more strongly to a mutated epitope bearing the changes E13G, R14E. Similar results were observed when the wildtype and mutated epitopes were covalently linked to IAg7 and expressed by baculovirus.
