In order to investigate the impact of extracellular vesicles secreted by ESC-MSCs on gene expression in THP-1 macrophage cells, THP-1 cells were exposed to a treatment of phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate for a duration of 24 hours to induce a macrophage-like phenotype. Subsequently, the adherent cells were cultivated in a fresh medium supplemented with lipopolysaccharide and interferon-gamma . Following this, the conditioned medium was replaced with fresh medium alone or in combination with ESC-MSC extracellular vesicles for an additional 48 hours.Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for THP-1 cells and THP-1 cells treated by extracellular vesicles derived from human ESC-MSCs.
