To measure the vertical profiles of temperature and salinity in the Chukchi Borderland/Mendeleev Ridge, an intensive oceanographic survey was conducted during 34 days from 2012 August 4 to September 7 by IBRV ARAON and to increase the spatial resolution for temperature and salinity, XCTD probes were used at 48 stations between regular hydrographic stations. To investigate the variability in spatial and temporal distribution of water masses and and understand its transformation along the pathways and relationship with sea ice melting in the Chukchi Borderland/Mendeleev Ridge.
