Basic network SL — Heavyweight points

The geodetic basic networks of the cf. in a position, height and severity are the basis for any surveying activity in the Saarland. While the location coordinates are stored on a mathematical reference surface, the ellipsoid, the elevation and gravity data refer to a physical surface, the so-called geoid. The elevation values NHN (NormalHöheNull) refer to the Amsterdam level. The spatial reference of the official surveying system is realised by a uniform, homogeneous fixed point field throughout Germany, which is condensed in a country-specific way.
