Track circuit

The track circuit system monitors the clearance of the track. The track circuit indicates the presence of a train on an isolated section of the track. The track circuit consists of an insulated track section, a voltage source and a relay winding. The location and code of the track circuit shall be reported. The material covers railways owned by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency. The data source system is a track site management application (RATKO) in the track infrastructure management system.
