Images from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Handley Park, Abthorpe, Northamptonshire 2016

This collection comprises images from a programme of archaeological observation, investigation and recording (watching brief) at Handley Park, Abthorpe, Northamptonshire. The archaeological investigation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in January and February 2016 and identified three ditches, two within cable trenches and one on a haul road. No finds or other dateable material was recovered from any of the features, although one ditch aligned with a Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age ditch found during the previous archaeological evaluation, suggesting that it may date to this period.
